She holds an MBBS degree and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and certified by the Australian Medical Council (AMC). With over ten years in Australian hospitals, Dr. Shahid has spent the last seven years as a General Practitioner, focusing on women’s health, men’s health, pediatrics, and skin conditions. Her commitment to patient care and extensive expertise make her a trusted partner in health, ensuring high-quality, personalized treatment for each patie.
Dr. Asrar Khan
MBBS,FCPS,FRACP Consultant Nephrologist & Senior Clinical LecturerWe are delighted to welcome Dr. Asrar Khan to the Austral Health Medical Centre team. As a consultant nephrologist, Dr. Khan brings a wealth of expertise in various aspects of nephrology, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and renal transplantation. His areas of special interest include renal bone disease, glomerulonephritis, diabetic kidney disease, preventive nephrology, and acute kidney injury. Since moving to Australia in 2015, Dr. Khan has served as a Fellow in Renal and Transplant Medicine at Westmead Public Hospital and as a Staff Consultant Nephrologist at Mildura Base Hospital. He is a highly regarded consultant nephrologist, well-known throughout the Sydney and Illawarra regions. Committed to providing exceptional care, Dr. Khan emphasizes clear communication with patients, their families, and healthcare providers. He offers regular in-person and telehealth renal services at all locations, with all consultations available as Bulk Billed.
Dr. Saima Paracha

Dr. Paracha brings extensive expertise in Internal Medicine, earned through years of practice internationally and in Australia. A Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), she completed her fellowship at Wollongong and Shellharbour Public Hospitals. Specialized Expertise: Dr. Paracha has a special interest in managing complex conditions, including: • Diabetes • Uncontrolled hypertension • Atrial fibrillation • Heart failure • Obstructive airway disease • Anemia • Chronic liver disease With a holistic approach, Dr. Paracha considers not only the physical but also the social and psychological aspects of health, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
